What does a Mindful Mentor do?
As mentors youth will work one-on-one with elementary students by:
• Modeling a sense of calm and resilience
• Co-creating and facilitating Mindful Mentor Classes
• Sharing movement, meditation and tools for self care

Great Mentor Candidates will:
• Have a strong interest in developing leadership skills and working with elementary students.
• Be a good role model for younger students
• 10-12th grade for the 22/23 school year
• Parent permission and a reference (from school or community leaders)
• Committed to building a community of support and wellbeing
• Availability to attend mentor training sessions
• Availability to co-facilitate afterschool classes at Tukwila elementary 2 times a week and 1 hour planning/practice meetings
